Day of the Dogs
The restaurant Daiquiri Dick's in Puerto Vallarta is going to the dogs. It's time to grab your best friend and head to the 6th Annual Pet Picnic.
This event will be a howling good time on Saturday, December 3rd starting at 11AM on the restaurant's patio overlooking Los Muertos beach. Enjoy a gourmet, boxed lunch and there will be a special doggie bag for your pal.
Last year over 70 dogs and their best friends made an appearance at this fun-filled event. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit association PEACE, Protection - Education - Animals - Culture & Environment with special emphasis and support for free spay/neuter clinics in Banderas Bay.
Audience participation is encouraged for the Best Costume and Best Trained contests. This year check out the latest in dog fashions starting at 11:45, followed by the Best Dressed competition at 12:00, and the Best Trained dog rounding out the show at 12:15. Don't be late if you want to participate.
There's going to be a raffle with all kinds of great items, too. This is also a fantastic chance to meet other animal lovers and learn how you can help in the plight of local dogs and cats. There will also be animals from local foster homes looking for their forever homes.
Tickets are $250 in advance and $300 at the door. You can purchase them at Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant, Olas Altas 314 or at Banderas Bay Trading Company, Constitucion 319-A. Space is limited, so get your tickets early. It promises to be another tale wagging event.

El Restaurante Daiquiri Dick's en Puerto Vallarta apoya a los perros. Es el momento de tomar a tu mejor amigo y dirigirte al 6o. Picnic de Mascotas Anual.
Este evento perruno será el sábado 3 de diciembre a partir de las 11 de la mañana en el restaurante Daiquiri Dick's, en la terraza que mira a la Playa de los Muertos. Disfrute de un almuerzo gourmet de paquete para usted y para su mascota habrá una bolsa especial para perrito.
El año pasado más de 70 perros y sus mejores amigos se hicieron presentes en este evento lleno de diversión. Los ingresos recaudados se destinarán a la Asociación PEACE, Protección - Educación - Animales - Cultura - Medio Ambiente (Environment), haciendo énfasis y dando apoyo especial a las clínicas en Bahía de Banderas que ofrecen la esterilización gratuita. Esta asociación no persigue ningún fin lucrativo.
Dos incentivos para la audiencia participante serán los concursos para el perro con el Mejor Disfraz y para el perro Mejor Entrenado. Este año veremos lo último en moda para perros a partir de las 11:45 am, seguido por la competencia para el perro Mejor Vestido a las 12:00 pm y el perro Mejor Entrenado, terminando la presentación alrededor de las 12:15 pm. No llegue tarde si quiere participar.
Además habrá una rifa con toda clase de artículos. También es una oportunidad fantástica para conocer a otros amantes de los animales e informarse sobre cómo puede usted ayudar en el problema local de los perros y los gatos. Asímismo, habrá animales de los centros de acopio que buscan un hogar definitivo.
El costo de los boletos es de $250.00 comprado con anticipación y $300.00 comprándolo al entrar al evento.
